Repairing of Camshafts
We are able to repair the contour of defective or worn camshafts by grinding. No material is welded on. Grinding does not change the profile, the degree and stroke remain unchanged. In most cases, nothing else is required for engines with hydraulic tappets. If the valve clearance is adjusted mechanically, thicker adjustment plates (shims) are required to compensate the valve clearance.

For some camshafts, centring holes must be drilled on the end faces, master cams must be manufactured or the camshafts must be reworked.
